I listen to my patients to help them identify their needs and preferences, and give them an individualized treatment. I help people with a variety of needs, such as mood problems, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and self-discovery. In my treatment approach I emphasize how physical and mental health complement each other. Through understanding social, cultural, psychological and biological aspects of one's mental health, I provide a comprehensive treatment to my patients.I trained in psychiatry and psychotherapy at the University of Virginia, where I also served as a chief resident. I am board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, working in Seattle. I am also a clinical instructor at UW. I sometimes use genetic testing to help patients choose the best treatment as well.
