As we all continue to struggle with this pandemic and however it is affecting each one of you, my staff and I are constantly being tested by the rules that have been placed on our business. These are not ours but to stay in business we have to follow them. If you come to The Hill wear a mask. Its that simple. 1) when you walk in the door til you get to your seat 2) if you have to go smoke 3) if you need to use the restroom 4) when you leave. I think we have been doing this long enough. Its not just about you and your "coolness" or your political views or etc... its about the people around you and the respect you have for the business you are entering. Things are changing at The Hill (but not really) We are still doing takeout, we are still serving great cocktails (to go) and we are still doing table service (outside) in our newly covered and heated deck area and front outside dining area. We will have seven tables available. We need your support during the new period of Covid shut down. The hours will be 11:30 AM to 9 PM Monday through Saturday. This will begin December 12 and continue till at the earliest January 4. Check out Facebook for specials and packaged meals for the entire family. When calling for take out, please be patient. In the past the busiest times are from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. We only have one phone so please keep trying. Thank you for your support thus far and hopefully we will see you soon. Sincerely, Jon
The Hill will be closed tomorrow Saturday December 19. There was a possible Covid exposure and out of extreme precaution we will be closing for 48 hours to thoroughly clean and disinfect the restaurant. We want to be as proactive and responsible as possible. We will reopen on Monday December 21st at 11:30 am.

Words truly can’t say enough about the support that The Hill has received over the last 10 months from all of you, the best customers any business would want. You are the reason our doors are still open.
It started right from the beginning , March 17, 2020 and didn't stop. Sometimes 2, 3, 4 times a week I saw your faces and names on takeout orders or eating inside or outside when you could. Sometimes I felt like you were doing it just to keep us open and not necessarily because you wanted The Hill food for the 3rd time that week. You came anyway!!!! You haven't stopped.
Your graciousness to the staff has been incomprehensible. The kind words, Christmas gifts and those extra large ridiculous tips always come at the right time.
I dont know when this whole thing will end or if The Hill will ever be normal again but I appreciate you trying to make it normal every day. I try to say thank you everytime I see you and if I haven't, Thank You!!!!!

To say "The Hill" has brought us many years of memories and friendships" would be an understatement. Most of us have spent so many years with you--feels like a life time. We ve laughed, cried, laughed again, loved , yelled, hated and even had moments where we wanted to trip you.--yep we sure did!! BUT The amount of love you put in everything you do is indeed unique.. The last year has shown all of us how tight we really are to stick it out with such circumstances- we are truly a unique crew. Most of us our trying to figure out how we could possibly swallow working in another restaurant after experiencing the fun environment at the hill...how would any other owner even begin to stack up to you? Even though we may not express it Jon, you really have been amazing to all of us even when you went through your moments. We wish you the best Jon on your next chapter in life AND we are excited for you after all the sweat and tears you have experienced the last 19 years. After two and a half long years since I put The Hill up for sale and 19 years since I took over, I have decided to sell the liquor license and close the Hill hopefully to get someone to lease the space as a restaurant. Even though we weathered the pandemic storm, this past year was a very hard year and was the deciding factor to move on. I cant thank everyone enough for the support and hard work through the years, from the Kilhefners who allowed me to carry on The Hilltop tradition, to my many employees who have worked for me through the years and to all of our customers who have kept us alive.
This past year really showed me what The Hill has meant to you and I dont think I could ever show you the full gratitude you deserve. The amazing thing that has happened over these last 19 years is not only watching my family grow but yours as well. That is what the Hilltop was always about. Memorial weekend will be the last weekend in business but we will be going strong til the end. Toward the last couple weeks we will be running specials to keep an eye out for them also over the next couple of months we would love to see you and say our goodbyes. Such a bittersweet time I can assure you.
