I grew up in Ashland, OH. I went to college to be a high school chemistry teacher but was convinced by several teachers and mentors to pursue medical school. I earned my medical degree from the Ohio State University School of Medicine in Columbus, OH, and completed my pediatrics residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. I am certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and I am a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Richland County Medical Association.
