Random Acts of Kindness Day 2021
For Random Acts of Kindness Week, residents and associates have been invited to participate in selfless acts of kindness towards each other February 15 through 19.
To participate, residents and associates have drawn names and determined an act of kindness to contribute toward each person. An act of kindness can truly turn someone’s day around — not to mention create a chain reaction for many other kind acts. We will also bake homemade dog treats for our furry friends in need at area animal shelters on Thursday, February 18.

As the COVID-19 vaccine begins to roll out across the country, and specifically in senior living communities, there are a lot of questions being asked.
If I’ve already had COVID-19 and recovered, do I need to still get vaccinated? Do I need to wear a mask and avoid close contact with others if I have gotten two doses of the vaccine? Which lasts longer, immunity after having the virus or protection from the vaccine?
Thankfully, the CDC has put together this helpful guide to answer questions on your mind: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/faq.html

How we serve residents is constantly evolving, but two things that definitely won't change are our high-level hospitality and remarkable service. Here's how.
-We've opened our dining rooms to smaller groups for low-risk mealtime experiences and we continue to offer daily, made-from-scratch delivery options to any resident.
-Our transportation teams are available to take residents to doctors' appointments and run errands. We're always willing to help.
-We've found creative ways to bring our enjoyable lifestyle to each resident's apartment or home - for example, afternoon wine and snacks delivered several times per week and outdoor music.
-Our move-in process allows new residents to move into their new residence safely and easily, giving reassurance for both current and new residents.

Woodworking matters!!
It's more than a pastime or hobby—being a woodworker means that you know the satisfaction and pride that comes from using your hands and mind to build beautiful, functional objects, and that you're as interested in the process as the outcome. Amid the speed and chaos of the modern world, woodworking gives us a place where we can slow down, pay attention, and take the time to do things right.
Special thanks to a few of our independent living “wood workers” for preparing these wooden bunnies for us to decorate.
We are excited to see what’s in store for these decorative Easter Bunnies! #livingit

Passover begins Saturday at sundown. The Jewish holiday is centered around the retelling of the Biblical story of the Jewish people being freed from slavery in Egypt. Every family has its own Passover rituals, which may reflect family tradition or the denomination of Judaism (some are more orthodox, others less traditional).
