I honestly wish I was able to leave a 2nd recommendation for ya’ll, so this post will have to do. It’s long but a detailed review is needed, especially if there are any other ladies looking for a new mechanic! 😊 10 months ago my co-worker Donna suggested ya’ll to me. She said that y’all are honest mechanics and had reasonable prices. We brought in my wife’s truck back in January/February to have several major issues fixed (one was the heater and defroster which is definitely needed in winter 🥶 ) and the prices were great and they were super quick and efficient in getting us back up and going AND made sure to speak with us before doing any work to make sure our lifetime alignment wouldn’t be voided from the work they were doing. That’s honesty at its finest and shows they really care about their customers.
A few weeks ago I decided to bring my car in to have several things fixed: I was not able to adjust the temperature controls except to turn on and off, my car was shaking when I would slow down (I thought it would be an engine or transmission issue) and my door handle on the driver door needed to be fixed since it wouldn’t open from the outside (I did not want to deal with climbing through my car in winter). I got the quote from Mike and I had a lot more issues with the temperature controls than I thought. The entire heater box needed to be replaced and the wires were stretched out making it to where the controls locked and couldn’t move, and the job itself was a multi-step process to replace the heater box. The part needed for the car was discontinued, so Mike did a lot of research to find a used or refurbished one that was less expensive but would take 3-4 business days to come in. Luckily the issues with my car shaking was just the brakes needing be replaced and my door handle was an inexpensive fix. The guys wound up having to order a 2nd heater box since the first one came in with a few damaged pieces, which I was more than happy with waiting a little longer since I knew they would make sure my car was fixed correctly and it’s also a bonus that I’m working from home and didn’t have to worry about needing to drive into work. What I really appreciate about everyone at Priority, is that they’re so nice and welcoming and really make sure they understand your concerns you have about your vehicle. I really, really appreciated that Mike didn’t try using terminology that would go over my head (like most mechanics) and make me have to whip out Google to figure out what he was talking about. He made sure to explain the solutions to the problems I had with my car in terms I could understand and did a total breakdown over the phone for me about the steps they would have to do to replace the heater box and what the costs of parts and labor were for each item on my list of things that needed to be fixed. They’re phenomenal and I hope I don’t have issues with our vehicles anytime soon, but I definitely know where I’m going if I do. Priority Auto is for me!

It is with a great deal of sadness that we share with you the death a beloved member of our community and Police Department. One of our Officers, Sergeant Bill Darnell, unexpectedly passed away last night from complications of the coronavirus. His passing represents an enormous personal loss to each and every one of us.
Our most heartfelt condolences, thoughts and prayers are with his wife, three children and the entire Darnell family.

This place is AMAZING! The last two times I’ve had body work done on this car the company disappointed me. ROB ZIMMERMAN OF DEWITT HIGH SCHOOL NAMED THE 2020 DETROIT LIONS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL COACH OF THE YEAR
Detroit, MI—The Detroit Lions have named Rob Zimmerman of DeWitt High School the 2020 Detroit Lions High School Football Coach of the Year. Zimmerman’s Panthers defeated the defending state champion River Rouge Panthers 40-30 to win the Michigan High School Football Division 3 state championship. This is DeWitt’s first football state championship and Zimmerman’s first as a head coach. The Panthers, from the Capital Area Activities Conference-Blue Division, finished the season undefeated at 12-0 outscoring their opponents 496-80.
Zimmerman concluded his 30th season coaching high school football, his 25th season overall as a head coach and 22nd as head coach at DeWitt. During his time at DeWitt, Zimmerman has gone 222-45 (83.1%) with 5 state finals appearances, 12 state semi-final appearances, 12 regional titles, 14 district titles and 18 conference titles in addition to reaching the playoffs in 20 of 22 seasons. Zimmerman, a 2016 inductee into the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame, was a Detroit Lions High School Football Coach of the Week in week 7 of the 2004 season.
Lions Head Football Coach Dan Campbell called Zimmerman to inform him of his High School Football Coach of the Year selection on Head Coach Hangout. High School Football Coach of the Week/Year Program:
Each week throughout the 2020 high school football regular season, one coach that best demonstrates success on and off the field, develops players’ character, discipline, and football skill in addition to emphasizing player health and safety in their program, will be recognized for his commitment to the team, school, and community. The winner is selected by a panel of high school football media members—Mick McCabe (Detroit Free Press), Hugh Bernreuter (Saginaw News), Bret Bakita (WOOD Radio-106.9 FM, ESPN 96.1 FM-Fox 17/Grand Rapids), James Cook (Traverse City Record-Eagle) and Scott DeCamp (MLive-Muskegon Chronicle). Zimmerman was selected as Coach of the Year by the votes of the aforementioned media members, as well as one vote from the public online voting at DetroitLions.com/coachoftheyear.
Each Lions High School Football Coach of the Week during the regular season received a $1,500 donation to his school’s football program. For being named the 2020 Detroit Lions High School Football Coach of the Year, Zimmerman will receive a $3,000 donation to his school’s football program and will be honored as the Detroit Lions nominee for the Don Shula NFL High School Football Coach of the Year.
Concluding its’ 24th year, this season’s Detroit Lions High School Football Coach of the Week/Year program awarded $12,000 to aid in the development and promotion of high school football in the state of Michigan, while overall the program has awarded $467,000 to high school football programs throughout the state of Michigan.
