In this time of crisis and uncertainty, we at Pickaway Area Recovery Services want to reaffirm our commitment to our clients and the community.
As Governor DeWine asserted in his order, PARS provides essential healthcare. All of our facilities in all counties are open and we will continue to provide counseling services. We now have options to see clients face-to-face, by phone, and online video conferencing.
Our outpatient offices, as essential services, are keeping normal office hours (except in Zanesville; see note below). We are strictly following the health and safety measures outlined in the governor’s order. All offices have set aside Mon-Thurs. 12pm-1pm and Fri. 8am-9am for vulnerable populations to receive treatment.
If you are currently a client or want to resume services, please reach out to us. We are also accepting new residential and outpatient clients. Our website has all of our contact information for each specific agency. However, if you call 740-477-1745 we can connect you to any service in any county.
We will do all we can to continue providing high quality counseling throughout these difficult times.

Note: Due to its small size, our Zanesville outpatient clinic, Muskingum Recovery Center, is not keeping regular office hours. We are, however, still providing counseling services through alternative methods and by appointment. If you are a current client or want to start services, please call: 740-868-8331

We are grateful that law enforcement has embraced the importance of the need for individuals to get treatment in order to obtain and maintain sobriety. PARS is committed to walking along these individuals' journey of recovery, while teaching recovery skills and assisting in removing the barriers that make recovery difficult. Every individual deserves the opportunity to recover. Recovery is possible, and PARS is passionate about equipping people with tools in order to succeed and improve their lives.

Early this morning multiple Circleville Police Department arrest teams armed with 65 arrest warrants descended on several residences in and outside the city simultaneously with one goal; safely take people with substance abuse disorders and traffickers into custody, not just jail. This approach to substance abuse is different, but hopefully more effective. Arrested individuals were transported to a booking and Covid-19 screening center. After screening, they were transported directly to court for arraignment on their charges. In court they were afforded the opportunity to speak with a defense attorney prior to arraignment.
After arraignment arrested individuals were transported to drug rehab, probation/parole offices or jail, based on the decision of the court. This operation started back in April of 2020 when local drug overdoses began increasing, 38 drug overdoses and 4 overdose deaths to be exact, since January 1st. The goal of this operation was to identify individuals with substance abuse disorders and provide them with resources for a successful recovery.
Our new K-9, Serg, played a vital roll in making this operation a success. These stats are impressive, but they are more impressive when you consider K-9 Serg has only been working with Officer Eberhard since April 24th, 2020. Here are the stats he has accomplished:
K-9 Deployments - 49
Call outs - 3
Tracks - 1

PARS is committed to providing treatment while balancing client/staff safety. With the winter storm continuing tonight (2-15) into tomorrow (2-16), we might have to close one or more of our outpatient offices for in-person visits.
As of now (1:30pm), all of our offices are OPEN.
If something changes, we will be shifting many appointments to telehealth. If you have questions or want to confirm that we are open or closed, please call your local office.
