September is a month dedicated to spreading awareness about Sickle Cell. This is a disease that affects primarily black people and other people of color. Bone marrow transplant is one of the few treatment options that can significantly change the lives of people with the disease. Bone marrow donors are in urgent need for people with Sickle Cell and other diseases.
The Central Ohio Afro Fest has partnered with Gift of Life Marrow Registry to provide information and actual test kits to become a donor. The table will be managed by our friends from Central Ohio Black Nurses Association
One quick swab and you can potentially be a donor who can save lives! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
