Just sharing for cuteness. We don鈥檛 recommend putting a mask on your pet, especially an english bulldog! 馃惥
It鈥檚 been over 6 months since the pandemic started and we鈥檝e been able to see patients and clients inside our hospital. We are still curbside which makes everything so much more challenging! Our staff is working their hardest to be sure that each of our patients is given the specialized attention they need. Everything takes longer, and we can assure you we are all working extremely hard to get appointments completed in a timely manner. If your trying to reach us by phone to check-in, pick up medications, or schedule an appointment, and get voicemail, please give us a couple minutes and try back. We are a very small hospital with just a few staff members. We are constantly running back and fourth with pets to and from the hospital from the parking lot. We all hope things will improve to a point that we can allow clients back into our building safely, but in the meantime please patient with us. We are trying our absolute best to make yours and your pets experience with us a positive one! 鉂わ笍馃惥

Dear Pet Parents,
As we continue to care for your pets during these uncertain times, our number one priority is the safety of your pets, you, and the Novi Veterinary Clinic team. For this reason, we are continuing to provide curbside services exclusively (we are allowing 2 family members in for end of life services). Please call our office to check-in when you arrive, and remain in your car.
We have developed relationships with many of you over the years and we feel a deep responsibility to provide you with compassionate care for your pets so while we would love to have you back in the building, we know that limiting person-to-person contact will reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure so we cannot change protocols at this time.
We are also asking for all future visits, to please wear a mask when we approach you. We want to take every precaution to make sure you, your pets, and our team are safe so that we can stay open to care for your pets. If you, or any family member has been exposed to covid, or feeling ill, we will ask you to reschedule.
We understand that waiting in your car is inconvenient and that curbside appointments are taking longer than normal. It is required that our pet parents remain in the parking lot. We鈥檝e had a number of clients take off and leave, despite our instructions. This is putting us further behind, and we will have to charge you a cleaning/holding fee if we cannot locate you when your visit is done. Please bring your cell phone and answer our calls. Make sure your pets are on a leash, or in a carrier, and collars/harnesses are secure before getting out of the car.
Please note: We prioritize every pet based on the level of care, and severity of needs when entering our hospital. We do our absoulute best to stay on time, but emergencies happen, and we cannot plan for them. We appreciate your understanding and patience if this happens during your visit. Please know that we will do the same for your pet in a heartbeat! Yelling at our staff and exiting your car to bang on the door only makes things worse, and will not be tolerated.
We also understand that phone wait times are longer than usual, and sometimes your unable to speak with a staff member. Due to the nature of curbside appointments, our call volume is the highest it has ever been and our team is doing everything we can to get to you as quickly as possible.
We will continue to reassess how to best operate during the pandemic as new information is made available and in the meantime, we thank you for your support.
Just doing our duty to share this, and hopefully get this girl back to her foster family. 馃惥

AEC shared this on their Facebook yesterday. Unfortunately they are closed due to a Covid exposure.
Please be aware this weekend with your pets. If you need immediate services, please contact Blue Pearl, Med Vet, OVRS, or any other ER vets that may be open.
We understand this is going to be hard with the holiday weekend and we hope they will recover soon and open up soon.

We'd like to make you aware that Kennel Cough is circulating through many boarding and grooming facilities in the Metro Detroit area. We have seen a spike in cases over the past seven days and have treated several patients.
What is Kennel Cough?
Kennel cough is a broad term covering any infectious or contagious condition of dogs where coughing is one of the major clinical signs.
It is often a mild disease, but the cough may be chronic, lasting for several weeks in some cases. Common clinical signs include a loud cough often describe as a 'goose honk', runny eyes and nose, swollen tonsils, wheezing, lack of appetite, and depressed behavior
How is it treated?
Mild cases of Kennel Cough can be treated with one to two weeks of rest but some may need to see the doctor and will be prescribed antibiotics and cough medication. If your pet is experiencing a cough and has a decreased appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, or anything else out of the ordinary, please give us a a call!
Is there a vaccine?
Yes! We highly recommend the Bordetella vaccine every 6 months which helps protect against most strains of this disease. Like the Flu vaccine, it does not protect against all strains.
What should you do?
If your dog is coughing but does not have a decrease in appetite, is not vomiting or having diarrhea, and does not have a decrease in activity, we are asking you to monitor at home. If symptoms persist or worsen, please call us and schedule an appointment with the doctor.
