We’ve got a beautiful picture to share. This is Mae. She’s an Australian Labradoodle. She’s lucky enough to live at a house with an enormous blueberry farm. I bet her morning walks would make lots of doggies jealous!❤️
⛈🌀HURRICANE SALLY UPDATE🌀⛈
As things stand, we plan to be closed Tuesday, 9/15. If Sally turns and we have beautiful weather, we can open at midday. More details to come.
We’re here until 5:00 today if you need anything. Stay safe, everybody 💙
Uncool. Zeke thought you said that he was getting tutored. 4/10, not what he expected.
HEY Y’ALL! It’s Ginger Cat Appreciation Day! ❤️ Show us whatcha got! 🐱
Update: He’s been found! Great job everybody!
👀 BOLO 👀 for a black and silver Miniature Schnauzer missing in Old Mandeville. His name is Rico and he will come for cookies. He escaped his collar, but he IS microchipped. Call us at 985-629-4075 or the owner at 985-237-4960. Thanks!
THIS is why you never want your vet staff to have downtime. The clinic cats end up looking like extras from Little House on the Prairie.
It’s National Vet Tech Week, our annual reminder to stop and be amazed at everything our techs do for us.
They are more than our “helpers”. Technicians liaise with owners, prepare and assist in medical and surgical procedures, run labwork, are the front line of patient care, keep the physical hospital up and running, and assist with practice management. We’d be lost without them.
THANK YOU to Rachel, Anna, Ashley, and Regan for all you do for the practice. And a huge shout out also to Samantha and MaryAnn for always being willing to jump in and help with patient care while simultaneously managing client services. Monroe Street is lucky to have you all. ❤️
Someone's excited about Halloween!

Trying to work on your pose before Halloween comes. 😹😹🎃🎃
We are OVERJOYED to announce the safe arrival of baby Ben Ashley! After a very long wait, he decided to make his debut this afternoon. Congratulations, Samantha! We can’t wait to meet him. 💙👶🏼💙
This handsome boy is a new resident at the shelter. We don’t know much about him - he’s a youngster that showed up out of the blue at somebody’s house. They wanted to keep him, but he was too boisterous for their older cat. As you can see, he’s very outgoing. He likes to socialize and will make air biscuits as soon as you pick him up. Interested? Reach out to us at the hospital or call Pen Pals directly at 225-634-6051.
Sunday work break with Cheese. 🐠🐟🐠
Happy Halloween, everybody! 👻🎃

Pro tip: Always look twice before taking out the trash.
The three amigos. Mac and Cheese are now willing to share their favorite morning spot with Tater. ❤️❤️❤️
Here's a quick video of our newest addition, Winston Pie Tater III, also known as Tater. He is 2 and 1/2 weeks out from having a hind limb amputation. Wow! Look at him go.😻
We’re getting ready to celebrate Christmas at Monroe Street.
🎄🎁🎅🏻
Feeling no pain, starting the weekend early.
Tater is recovering nicely from his surgery. We've had to calm him down some so Mack is keeping him company in his compartment.
