It was a beautiful morning but a bittersweet moment as we sent our Kindergarten-2nd grade students off for their first day of face-to-face instruction. We are sending our best wishes for a safe and healthy school year for the entire Ocean Lakes Elementary crew!

Four years ago the doors of Kiddie Academy of Virginia Beach opened! Since then there has been no better place for fun, education, and of course Community! Today our little Community was able to enjoy an Ice Cream treat from Mr. Softee to celebrate 4 Amazing years!

To avoid the crowds we'll be having ONLY these three age groups purchase prints in the lobby today! Preschool classes will be Thursday, and Pre-Kindergarten on Friday!
In order to keep ourselves safe and sound we moved our Halloween festivities INDOORS! All of our costumed friends went Trick or Treating to other classrooms across the school.
Our littlest friends on the other hand (who don't eat candy!) had their own Costume Parade! Everyone attended and cheered on the babies as they crawled through to show off their costumes!
We're so glad to see everyone back with full-candied bellies after a Full Moon Halloween celebration this weekend! Happy Halloween!

It is process over product as the Toddlers give their full attention to the experience of painting with a paintbrush--and our fingers too!
We are proud to announce that today we donated over 1,000 pounds of food to the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore! The Big Truck pulled into the parking lot this morning and we all gathered around to help see it off! Over 30 cardboard boxes were loaded onto the truck and will soon be delivered to those in need! Thanks to your generous donations the Food Bank will be able to construct over 800 meals!
