Accepting new patients!
The relapse and overdose rate has increased by 30% since March 2020. Mental health issues related to our lockdown and the pandemic are especially hard for people with depression.
NAMI, The National Alliance on Mental Health has a 24-hour helpline: 800-950-6264.
Now, I’m asking my small corner of FB to follow suit: Could any two of my Facebook friends just copy and repost to share the helpline far and wide?
Just two. Any two
Not looking for praise but wanted to let people know we care a lot to put ourselves at this kind of risk. Thank Nicole and Jennifer for all that they do!

Much attention is given to physicians and nurses as heroes in the Covid epidemic. And,indeed they are. But,the health care worker with the highest risk is your dental hygienist. Tied for second are dentists and dental assistants. Give these people some love if you think of it.

Since today is St. Patrick’s Day, I know we are all thinking about the same thing - the beauty of green minerals. What’s that...it was yesterday? Let’s just agree to disagree. This is happening.
Consider this recent acquisition for the My Living Room Museum of Natural History. The intense green cubic crystals are the mineral Fluorite, arguably the most colorful of the 5,500+ species of minerals.
Fluorite of this color really didn’t come to light until 2017, when a deposit was discovered in a remote area of Madagascar. More precisely, it was discovered in the Mandrosonoro commune of the Beroroha District in the Atsimo-Andrefana Region of the Toliara Province of Madagascar, in case you're ever in the area. None of those things were made up BTW.
The apparent color of this variety changes depending on the light source (sunlight, artificial incandescent light, etc.). It also fluoresces when exposed to longwave and shortwave UV light. Most minerals don’t exhibit the property of fluorescence, but the ones that do have the ability to absorb specific wavelengths of visible and invisible light and release different wavelengths of visible light. The wavelength change causes the mineral to temporarily change color to the eye of a human observer. And to the eye of a cat observer. Annabelle and I did the science. One photo shows the Fluorite fluorescing (Hey! The name makes sense now!) under shortwave ultraviolet light.
There are more unique things about this shiny rock I could tell you, but it’s been a big day and we all need our rest. Thank you.
