Toddlers can get tooth decay from being exposed to liquids that contain sugar. It's called, “Baby Bottle Tooth Decay.” 🍼🐄 The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends that a child go to the dentist by age 1 or within six months after the first tooth erupts. #BabyBottleToothDecay #NoBottleAfterOneYear #WestCobbDentistry #Kennesaw #FamilyDentist #ScheduleToday #OralHealth #Dentist #Smile
Chewing ice is bad for your teeth because it can damage your tooth enamel, or the protective layer that shields your teeth from decay. You especially shouldn't chew ice if you have fillings, braces, or other dental restoration work, as it can cause more damage and be expensive to fix!🥤🦷😁💸

There are much healthier ways to get a boost of energy than drinking an energy drink. Not only do they destroy your tooth enamel, but they create the perfect conditions for tooth decay. https://www.smileguide.com/energy-drink-teeth/ SMILEGUIDE.COM Energy Drinks: An Acid Trip For Your Teeth

Too much of a good thing!? ...Brushing too hard... Pressing the bristles against the teeth and gums with too much force 💪 can definitely lead to oral problems 😬 Brushing too hard can cause gums to recede, allowing for bacteria and plaque to build, and it can cause tooth enamel to wear away.
Get a new toothbrush every three months: A brush is bristles can become worn over time, which reduces their cleaning ability. That’s why we recommend buying a new toothbrush every three months, or even more often if yours looks worn or you’ve recently been sick. #happytuesday #tipsandtricks #tiptuesday #westcobbdentistry #dentistry #dentistappointment #dentistofinstagram #cleanteetharehappyteeth #healthyliving #brushyourteeth #healthandwellness #smile
Dr. Couk and his wife Jane moved here from Chico California after having a private practice for 35 years. Dr Couk is a graduate of Northwestern and raised his family in California having three sons. After his children were grown in to move to Atlanta, Dr. Couk decided to sell his practice in California and moved to Atlanta to be near his children and grandchildren. Tip Tuesday is here! Make sure to Pay Attention to sugar in drinks, but also in the food you eat. Try to avoid eating a lot of sugary foods and candy. If you do eat a lot of sugar, make sure you brush your teeth well after eating. Sugar greatly increases the amount of plaque on your teeth, and if you have a sweet tooth it’s important to be even more conscious about how well you brush your teeth! #happytuesday #tipsandtricks #tiptuesday #westcobbdentistry #dentistry #dentistappointment #dentistofinstagram #cleanteetharehappyteeth #healthyliving #lesssugar #healthandwellness #smile #brushyourteeth
