Dr. Luckstone, Dr. Hill and Sam volunteered their Saturday today to help with the very first Downtown Brunswick Spay and Neuter Clinic put on by Glynn County Animal Control. 20 dogs and cats were spayed and neutered, given free Rabies vaccines and microchips - thanks to a GA Dept of Agriculture grant and generous donors! The downtown location also makes spaying and neutering services more accessible for those who may not be able to drive to a shelter or vet hospital. Thanks to the entire team!

Our CSR’s are your first point of contact with our practice. They have been a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, the record keepers, accountants or IT experts. In between your phone calls, they are checking emails, text messages, app notifications, calling other hospitals for records, mailing cards and bills, running food and medications out to your car…to name a few!
They are also the first to hear your stories – the good news of a new family member, your puppy potty-training successes, your questions about whether your senior pet is comfortable, your sadness or your fears when your pet is sick. They become just as invested in our patient’s and client’s lives as the rest of the team – we love them for it and everything they do every day!

Not a wild animal but...We wanted to say THANK YOU to WREN volunteer, Lisa B, for helping me search for a rooster today in Johnson City, Tennessee! It was very cold and windy! And sadly, we only found these tail feathers. But the person, Melia, that reported the rooster to us (our other nonprofit Tilted Tavern Animal Sanctuary) heard that the rooster should still be around. So the search will continue by Melia and us as needed.
And THANK YOU to Miree Wood for her #givingtuesday2020 fundraiser for WREN! Thanks to those donations and previous WREN donors, we are able to complete our funding goal to purchase a hardback and an electronic copy of The International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council Wildlife Rehabilitation Handbook and three sets of the The ArmOR Hand Protector Animal Handling Gloves for the Island Animal Hospital staff on Saint Simons Island, Georgia!
