Today is Giving Tuesday NOW. COVID-19 has created hardships for families across our country and community. This crisis is unprecedented, and we must act to ensure every person affected can get food. Join this day of giving by supporting The Food Bank at sharefoodbringhope.org.
We love and appreciate our first responders and health care workers. Unfortunately, they are in harm’s way during this pandemic. If you or a loved one is a first responder and has contracted Covid-19, you may be eligible for workers’ compensation benefits.
Recently the Missouri Labor and Industrial Relations Commission, with approval of Governor Mike Parson, established a change to Missouri workers’ compensation benefits which creates a presumption of entitlement to workers’ compensation benefits for law enforcement officers, firefighters, or emergency medical technicians who test positive for Covid-19 as a result of their employment.
If you or a loved one has contracted Covid-19 while working as a law enforcement officer, firefighter, or emergency medical technician, we would be happy to provide you with a free consultation to discuss your rights under the new law.
