Providers and staff gathered earlier this month at Hampshire Memorial Hospital and War Memorial Hospital to bid farewell to Dr. Gerald Bechamps, Valley Health West Region Vice President of Medical Staff Affairs. Respected as a surgeon, compassionate caregiver, clinical leader, mentor, champion for clinical quality, and friend to many, his career is noteworthy for many titles and accomplishments. Thank you, Dr. Bechamps, for 50 years of leadership and service to our communities!
As the weather gets colder and you spend more time indoors with friends and family, remember the 3 W's to prevent the spread of #COVID19 and the flu:

Giving Blood is More Important Than Ever
Over the last few days, our team has been hard at work preparing to roll out the COVID-19 vaccine to certain groups in 1B, as approved by the Virginia Department of Health.
Today we received the necessary software access from the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association that will allow us to open up registration tomorrow for a Wednesday rollout. This scheduling process will allow us to efficiently schedule vaccines to use what we have on hand, without long wait times.
We are appreciative of the community’s support and also appreciate the Lord Fairfax Health District staff who worked hard vaccinating people today. We share the excitement and anticipation of getting this vaccine to as many people as possible. When registration is available tomorrow, it will be posted on this page, as well as valleyhealthlink.com/c19vaccinations. #worthit #inthistogether
