Shout out to Karen for her amazing work this year at Women's Center - Forest Park. At least 268 clients who were initially assessed as being at-risk for abortion were assessed as "Likely to Carry" after their sonograms with Karen. Karen has spent countless hours praying for clients outside of work and consistently arrives early and stays late to meet client needs. Karen has been nicknamed Forest Park's "own little sunshine" because of the joy she brings to work every day. Rose Von Erden: Mount Notre Dame Seniorโs Passion for Pro-Life Ministry
Grace entered our center lost and defeated, needing to know if she was pregnant. She had not been using contraception but was living with her boyfriend. The pregnancy test was positive, confirming her worst fear. She said, โItโs not a good time for this!โ Her boyfriend was unsupportive of the pregnancy leaving the decision to her, alone. She was overwhelmed by the entire situation. This pregnancy was "in the wayโ of everything! In the consultation room, the situation was laid out for her, resources were presented. Strong Beginnings would help with obtaining insurance. Holy Family prenatal care would follow her through the entire pregnancy and delivery. Our Earn While You Learn program would help her earn baby bucks to provide baby supplies. Emergency Assistance would aid her with formula, diapers, and wipes. Classes could be taken to educate her on everything from Loving Your Baby to Nutrition and Safe Sleep.
After the initial consultation, we got to the heart of the problem. She just wanted him to want the child. She was encouraged to ask him real questions. Grace was prayed with, hugged, and the tears flowed. She realized she WANTED this child. She wanted THEM to want this child. Abortion fell off the table. An ultrasound was scheduled for the following day. When Grace arrived for her ultrasound, her boyfriend, Saul, accompanied her.
Grace was glowing. She was brought back into a private room and revealed she had taken our advice and spoke straight to Saul. He really had wanted the child, but society told him that his opinion did not matter since it was "her body." He was afraid to express his wishes.
Saul came in beaming with joy and ended up filling out paperwork for our Menโs Mentoring program.
We continue to marvel at Godโs timing and remarkable heart changes. We are so thankful to be a part of Elizabeth New Lifeโs ministry! Where else can a young woman go and lay out her situation, obtain assistance, cover the โproblemโ in prayer, then make a decision with her eyes wide open that is best for her family?

Respect Life Month this month came with a new honor for ENLC's Founder and Executive Director, Vivian Koob. Vivian was awarded the Archdiocese of Cincinnati's 2021 Respect Life Award. She was chosen after a double nomination for her extended dedication to the cause for life through the many achievements of ENLC and beyond. The award was designed to recognize someone who advances the culture of life and who "embraces and upholds the dignity of life in all its stages from conception to natural death." Our students and employees pulled together in their Dens to collect items and monetary donations for the Forest Park location of Elizabeth's New Life Center. The center's mission is to come alongside women and men experiencing unexpected and/or crisis pregnancies and offer them personal and material support. Baby items such as blankets, pacifiers, teethers, onesies, and socks were collected and assembled into layettes that are gifted to the parents right after they hear their baby's heartbeat for the first time. As a school, we collected enough items to assemble 144 full layettes, along with $900 in cash for purchasing diapers! Special thanks to our students and employees for their service and participation in this Lenten collection! #YouBelongHere
