This is our patient, Ed Cunningham, working his magic as a contestant on the Halloween Baking Championship on Food Network, starting this week! We are so proud of him! Good luck Ed!
This is my team! I am so lucky to have Jill, Sharon, Lynette and Lucy working alongside me every single day. They have worked so hard to keep our office safe and efficient during these trying times! I can truly say I have the dream team. Thank you for all you do! ❤️❤️❤️❤️😷😷😷😷😷
We decided to turn that frown upside down! Those are real tattoos on her big toes!
Hahahhahaaa!
Maxx Kusper is an 11 year old Brookfield boy who was struck by a train on March 28th. Please consider donating money to aid in Maxx’s recovery. It is amazing to see all the blue ribbons around the trees and to hear about the 5th graders in his class who shaved their heads in support of Max after he had to have his head shaved for surgery! Every dollar helps. Thank you in advance!

As our community continues to deal with this ongoing crisis, we want you to know we are still here for you. Our patients’ safety is our top priority.
Please call us today at (708)485-3668 to speak with one of our staff to schedule an in-office visit or telehealth/video conference with Dr. Schafer to discuss your foot and ankle needs.
The little round black area on this diagnostic ultrasound is a ganglion cyst. Ganglion cysts come from tendons or joints and are filled with fluid. Ganglions can form on any tendon or any joint in the foot. The cysts vary in size. They feel very hard when you touch them, but when you look with ultrasound or MRI, they are actually filled with fluid. They are treated by either aspiration or surgical removal. They can be painful. Most of the time, they are benign. Very rarely, they can be actually be a cancer called synovial cell sarcoma, which can be deadly. Better to be safe than sorry and have any lumps or bumps on your foot or ankle checked out by a podiatrist - preferably me! 😆
We just wanted to remind everyone that deductibles will be back on January 1st, so come in and get your new orthotics before the end of the year!
