It is very cold and windy with snow and sleet still falling all around Clarksville and Ft. Campbell.
If you have to be out, use extra caution as black ice will begin to form as the temperature continues to plummet. Have some kitty litter in your car in case you get stuck and need traction. Be sure you have enough warm layers on as the wind is whipping out here.

TRAVEL SAFE REMINDER
A new 20 mph school zone on MLK Parkway between Red Coat Run and Bellshire Drive in front of Clarksville Christian School took effect Monday, Sept. 9. Please use caution when driving in the area, and add a few extra minutes to your travel time.
The school zone is in effect on both sides of the divided highway from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Clarksville Police are placing extra patrols in the area this week, and the Street Department will be monitoring traffic and may adjust the school zone timing after studying how traffic is affected by the changes.
