Dr. Dennis Hughes in a primary care physician who practices in Montecito. As an internist, he enjoys the diversity of cases, both simple and complex, and the ability to be involved in his patients' lives over many years. He is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Hughes received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School in Newark. He completed his training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where he practiced for several years. He moved in San Francisco in 2007 and worked nearby on the peninsula before joining UCLA Health in 2020. He was born in northwestern Indiana and graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in Microbiology. He worked as an assistant scientist at the Schering-Plough Corporation in New Jersey before attending medical school.
When he's not working, Dr. Hughes enjoys rock and ice climbing, spending time outdoors, watching movies, and more recently, cooking.
