The mix of brilliant colors, patterns, and textiles prevalent in Peranakan townhouses makes for a thrilling visual feast. Pockets of these exist in a few different locations, including Singapore and Malaysia.

Thor's Well is quite an attraction if you're visiting the Oregon Coast. Known as the drainpipe of the Pacific, this 20 feet deep well looks as if it's draining the water from the ocean. The best times to check this well in action is during high tides (if you get there an hour before the high tide you can view the well without any water) and during storms when the water is more aggressive. Even though this is a beautiful site to see, keep in mind it can be dangerous depending on the tide and weather!

Tell us where you're going based on your favorite fairy tale!
Sleeping Beauty - Neuschwanstein Castle
It's easy to imagine that this castle could contain residents within it under a sleeping curse, untouched by time. The castle is so quintessential that it's been used as inspiration for several fairytale-inspired creations.
Rapunzel - Lake Reschen
A solitary 14th-century church tower is the sole visual remnant of cities intentionally flooded by water. We haven't heard a version of Rapunzel being trapped in a tower surrounded by water, but if the witch had this option at her disposal, we're sure she would have taken advantage of it.
Hansel and Gretel - Borgund Stave Church
Although this 12th-century building was built as a church, the pointed staves and worn wooden exterior have some serious witchy vibes. Imagine replacing the wood shingles with gingerbread, and you have the perfect Hansel and Gretel witch house.

Souvlaki is a popular Greek dish consisting of meat, and sometimes, vegetables, grilled on a skewer. To experience this dish more authentically, be sure to serve it with all the favorite Greek side dishes such as pita bread, cucumber salad, fried potatoes, lemon, and sauces.
After a rainfall, the sandstone on these rock formations absorbs water and reflects rainbow colors due to the stone's iron. What a surreal experience to see rainbow colors emanate from the ground, creating a sandstone prism.
International Stout Day is celebrated every year on the first Thursday of November. The term "stout" was originally used to describe porter-style beers with relatively high alcohol content. There's still debate today whether stout and porter are two separate beer categories, but where ever you fall on the divide, we raise our glass to you!
