Big thanks to the City of Beeville, John Benson, Benny Rey Puente Jr., and Albert and his public works team for restoring the side street to the drive through entrance. I reached out to John and Benny last week, and they listened and responded quickly. This is true community action at work. It is very much appreciated by EVERYONE who visits us here. Thank you, Beeville! #BeUncommon!
With cooler temperatures here, Sarah is officially launching today our very popular second Fall drink, Autumn Addiction! It is spiced apple chai with caramel apple butter topped with cinnamon made into a latte (hot or iced) or a frappe. It reminds you of Thanksgiving baked apple pie coming out of the oven. Of course, we have all of our pumpkin spice goodies as well. Yummy! #BeUncommon!
Happy National Coffee Day! The team thanks you so much for allowing us to be part of the larger “uncommon” family with you. We appreciate you embracing us. Come enjoy a small drip coffee on us!
All great beverages today begin with berries from coffee trees, which you know we planted awhile ago. Berries are turned into roasted beans, and then your favorite hand-crafted, artisanal drinks are made! Stay caffeinated! #BeUncommon!
After a short break, Uncommon Table lunches are back as of this Friday, Oct 2. Let’s go to one of my favorite countries, India, with fire-pit tandoori style chicken made with an assortment of savory spices and accompanied with hand-made aloo paratha, which is a bread filled with potatoes, fennel, kosher salt, and cilantro. Finally, pickled spiced limes and mangos round out your trip to India! Full of fresh, aromatic, and delicious flavors...The pre-order/pre-pay list has begun. #BeUncommon!
As part of our educational mission and in this episode of ”Uncommon Cooking”, learn a bit more about Spanish Rioja wines and if they are a match for paleo pumpkin fries. Enjoy your Sunday! #BeUncommon!
Happy Saturday! Sarah and Loni just finished their Uncommon Table brunch today, and I think they enjoyed every bite! Check it out! As you know, we are offering multi-grain toast two ways—one with seasoned mash avocado, grape tomatoes, basil, and olive oil and the other with an in-house made ricotta spread with prosciutto, dried cherries, home, and sea salt. Fresh, healthy, and delicious! #BeUncommon!
Happy cooler Friday! No Uncommon Table Friday lunch, which features a kicked-up South Texas inspired meal with hand-made beef patties, smoked sausage, prosciutto, in-house made roasted tomato chutney, garden basil, and more, is going to happen without fire and smoke to get all of those savory flavors into your mouth! Loni, Sarah, and I started at 3:45 am to get it going...Fresh, delicious, and tasty! #BeUncommon! #BeUncommonYou!
On Saturday, October 17, Uncommon Table’s brunch is offering our Autumn Addiction waffles (my son’s favorite because loves apples desserts), which will be perfect with the cold front coming and a lovely hot latte. Just like our Autumn Addiction drink here, the waffles will remind you of baked apple pie coming out of the oven on Thanksgiving Day. They will have spiced apple chai, brown butter caramelized green apples, whipped cream, and caramel apple butter syrup to bring it all together. The pre-order/pre-pay list has started. See you soon, and thanks for all of the prayers for my continued recovery. #BeUncommon! #BeUncommonYou!
This Friday, Oct 16, Uncommon Table’s lunch is last week’s meal, which had to be re-scheduled due to the car accident. As a reminder, we are staying home with a kicked-up spin and offering Texas-sized handmade seasoned hamburgers, topped with smoked sausage, fire grilled tomato chutney, basil leaves, and shredded Danish Havarti cheese. On the side will be in-house made fries that are spiced up with sea salt, rosemary from the garden, and chives. Fresh, delicious, and tasty! For those on the last week’s list, you have already been contacted and forwarded for this Friday. If anyone else is interested, the pre-order/pre-pay list is there. #BeUncommon! #BeUncommonYou!
What fog today! Be safe! As part of our “Uncommon” extended family, Rebekah Puebla is such a joy and always ready to help. She is the Director of Marketing at Arden Place of Beeville and has been instrumental with Former Administrator, Ying Collingwood, and all the other staff there to keep our residents safe and healthy, especially during the pandemic. Rebekah is the first to ask if anyone needs anything, and she can be seen around the community with her smile and forging partnerships, like she has with us. When she comes here, her favorite drinks are the hot lattes—Almond Joy or the Autumn Addiction. #BeUncommon! #BeUncommonYou!
Been here with Loni since 6:15 am...Finally, we got a chance to take a break and sip on our Autumn Addiction latte in small carved out pumpkins! Yummy! Many many thanks for all of your prayers, blessings, and support. While my left ear has significant hear loss and I have various aches, pains, and other issues, we here can’t do it alone. Many thanks to my family, Loni, Sarah, and all of you, as part of our “Uncommon” extended family. Now help me with my hair! Lol. Be safe! #BeUncommon! #BeUncommonYou!
Tomorrow, November 7, and based on your feedback, Uncommon Table’s brunch special is a kicked-up transformed British-inspired BAP breakfast sandwich. You choose a grilled ciabatta roll or bagel, and it is filled with bacon, sausage, rosemary mushrooms, and an in-house made sauce. On the side will be fresh fruit. Yummy!
Of course, we will also have our daily breakfast offerings. See you tomorrow.

Blistered shishito peppers with our Asian-inspired pork on top of red cabbage, edadamame, crispy rice noodles, pickles shallots, and snap peas are the perfect match with our in-house made sauce for today’s fresh, healthy, and delicious Uncommon Table meal. #BeUncommon! #BeUncommonYou!
As part of our economic livelihood mission, it is great to partner and work with awesome entrepreneurs, who are making a community impact.
Ryan and Ian of The Nice Winery make wonderful organic wines, and they have kindly donated some of their Argentinian rose for our Uncommon Table Nov 14 brunch. Yummy!
Ken Warrick and Chris make excellent jams, pickles, relishes, and more, and they just sent us a box of their goodies, and they enjoy helping their community in Tennessee with fresh and health foods. Delicious!
Finally, Nick of Ottensman Farm produces local honey and gifted us a sample, which we have used before at one of our first community garden events with goat cheeses. Tasty!
Kudos to all of these creative, uncommon entrepreneurs who are part of our “Uncommon” family.

Thanks to y’all for keeping us busy this morning. Sarah and I just got a break since 6am, so we decided to make the perfect iced hazelnut coffee to relax. The beans for this iced coffee come from the Tapacio region of Mexico and match the hazelnut perfectly. Check out Sarah making and enjoying it at the end. #BeUncommon! #BeUncommonYou!
This Friday, November 6, Uncommon Table’s lunch is keeping it super fresh with Asian-inspired grilled pork on top of a bed of red cabbage, edamame, blistered shishito peppers, pickled shallots, snap snow peas, nested rice noodles, and in-house plum sauce dressing with garlic, rice vinegar, and soy. Flavors and textures of crispy, sweet, salt, and savory will explode in your mouth while you feel healthy! Delicious!

Because many keep asking what we normally make for breakfast and lunch daily outside of the Uncommon Table meals, this week’s Uncommon Table’s Friday lunch and Saturday brunch will focus on our daily options—just kicked up.
On Friday the 15th, Uncommon Table is featuring our hot panini “hand pressed” ciabatta bread sandwich. It is smeared inside with an in-house made Asian style spicy aioli and filled with turkey, roasted sweet red peppers, banana peppers, and cheese. Oozing with delicious flavors that keep you wanting another bite, we will be paired with potato chips and a special surprise.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s announcement for Uncommon Table’s Saturday brunch for the 16th. It will feature bagels because the 15th is National Bagel Day! Yes..just a day later...lol...

Happy cold Monday! Brrr! As part of our “uncommon” family, the weather over the weekend did not stop The Pollard Family from enjoying their brunch experience. They are regulars, and Ryan Pollard, Adriana, and their lovely daughter are one of the nicest families around. They are constantly smiling and are ready to help the community anytime. It is always a joy to hang out with them. Their favorite drinks are the iced caramel macchiato, mint matcha latte, and mocha frappes. #BeUncommon! #BeUncommonYou!
On a cold, rainy Sunday, the best breakfast at home is making the Uncommon Table brunch from yesterday with a hot double shot latte and newspaper. Big thanks to Jaime Lutke, owner of Napping J Farms, for the greatest, golden eggs for the meal. Fresh, delicious, and yummy! Stay warm. #BeUncommon! #BeUncommonYou!

On this cold morning, as we prepare for today’s Friday Uncommon Table lunch, inspired from Guerrero, Mexico, one of the best warming experiences is to enjoy an uncommon cup of java from Mexico, topped with hand-steamed cream. Enjoy! #BeUncommon! #BeUncommonYou!
As part of our healthcare mission, we have partnered up with an uncommon soul, who is like-minded with us.
