The City of Springboro Performing Arts Center (PAC) Art Gallery celebrates Black History Month with a show featuring six local artists. The exhibit showcases a variety of mediums including photography, large scale painting, mixed media and graffiti art. Many works are available for purchase. Artists include Sydney A. Adams Art, Deborah Dixon Artist, Erin Smith-Glenn, Cydnie Deed-King, Simeon Oyeyemi and Ron Lee.
The exhibit may be viewed 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday thru Friday in the gallery at 115 Wright Station Way and by appointment by calling 937-748-5774. COVID-19 restrictions apply. The exhibit runs through February 28. For more information about the gallery, visit

This is the time of year we start seeing water backup claims. Water backup is optional, so it’s important to review your home insurance to make sure what you have. It’s also smart to make sure your sump pump is working correctly.

Sump pumps are an important part of many home defence plans, not having a back up sump pump is like playing russian roulette with your home. Battery back up systems are the most common, this system consist of the pump, a battery and a trickle charger to maintain the batteries charge. Battery back up systems battery life will depend on how often and how long the pump will be required to run once electric power is lost, once the battery is drained your defence is drained as well. The other type is water powered, this system requires a water supply to operate the pump and there is no maintenance.
