Windows, floors, walls, bathtubs, awnings, countertops, and barbecues are just a few of its 1001 uses. 1 Household Uses  General Cleaning: 1⁄2 teaspoon in 1 quart of warm water for walls, woodwork, ceilings, furniture, and fixtures.  Glass Surfaces (Windows, Mirrors, etc): Use 1 - 2 drops in 16 oz spray bottle of water. Wipe dry with paper towel. Do not use too much Basic-H or glass will streak.  Floors: 1⁄2 - 1 tablespoons per gallon of water. Wring mop and wipe up dirt. Leaves floor shining! (To remove wax, use Basic-I)  Dusting: Use 1/8 teaspoon in 1 pint of water. Pour solution onto a sponge and squeeze to almost dry, or spray on a clean cloth and wipe. Leaves a gleaming, non-magnetic surface that will not attract dust.  Water Rings: For furniture with water rings, spray area with Basic-H general cleaning formula. If water ring persists, use up to full strength and wipe until gone. Kitchen  Appliances: Use 1/8 teaspoon in a pint of water. Leaves refrigerator odor free and sanitary. Great for bathroom tile!  Oven: Put a paste of Solid Scour Off and water together, leave overnight or put oven on warm. Use Shaklee Miracle Pad or Super Sponge.  Coffeemakers: Dilute 1/8 teaspoon Basic-H in pot of water. Run through cycle and coffee stains will rinse away.  Dishes: Use 1⁄2 teaspoon in the dishpan. Fill dirty pans with water, add 1⁄4 teaspoon Basic-H and let stand to loosen stuck particles.  Fruits & Vegetables: Use 1/8 teaspoon in a basin of water. Wash, rinse thoroughly with filtered water to remove residues of sprays and grime. To crisp lettuce, use 1 or 2 drops in a bowl of water.  Frying Vats: Use 1⁄4 cup in 3 gallons of water. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Dissipates stubborn crusts without damage to vats.  Sharpening Knives: Use a couple of drops on sharpening stone. Keep the stone moist by adding more as needed. Doesn’t clog stone which is very important in sharpening tools. Stone rinses free of residue. No oil mess to clean up!  Charcoal Grill: Same directions as oven. Follow with Scour Off if necessary. Bath  Toilet Bowl Cleaner: Fill Basic-H dispenser with Basic-H. Place in toilet tank. It will automatically release a measured amount of Basic-H when you flush, to keep bowl clean for months.  Shower Head Attachment: Fill dispenser with Basic-H. Turn attachment valve open to release billows of foamy cleaner. Turn valve off to stop the flow of Basic-H, allowing water to rinse the body. Laundry & Fabric Cleaning  Woolens, Nylons, and All Fine Fabrics: 1 teaspoon in a basin of lukewarm water. For spots, apply 1-2 drops directly on the spot and press in with thumb, then immerse item in a solution of 1⁄2 teaspoon of Basic-H per gallon of cold water. Allow to stand a few minutes, then rinse by squeezing water through. Dry flat.  Leather: Put 1 drop on a damp sponge, wipe the item dry. Basic-H cleans leather better than saddle soap!  Vinyl Upholstery: 1⁄2 teaspoon in 1 quart of water. 2  Spot Remover: Apply a very small amount directly to the spot and use your thumb or a small toothbrush to rub in. Wipe off with damp cloth or rinse. Removes lipstick, coffee, ink, grass, and grease.  Ironing: A couple of drops in a steam iron will keep the jet and interiors clean and make steam wetter. Keeps iron free of mineral deposits, so there is no need to buy distilled water. Note: iron a rag the first time to clean out any old deposits. Home Improvement & Residue Removal  Removing Wallpaper: Use 1 tablespoon in a pail of hot water. Apply with a mop and lift off. Use a solution of 1 tablespoon per gallon of water to clean off the residue.  Water-Soluble Tape Residue: Add 2- 3 drops to a 16 oz spray bottle filled with water.  Spray Snow or Poster Paint on Windows: Remove it with 1⁄4 teaspoon to a quart of warm water.  Gum: Use full strength to remove gum from skin, hair, or carpeting.  Humidifiers: Add 2-3 drops to help prevent rust, scum, and mineral deposits.  Paint Brushes: Work full-strength Basic-H into brushes and wash under the tap.  Fire Extinguishers: 1⁄2 teaspoon in 1 quart of water in a large spray bottle.  Outside Windows and Screens: Spray with a mixture of 1⁄2 teaspoon of Basic- H and 2 gallons of water.  Pressure Washer: 1⁄2 oz to 20 gallons of water. Heavy Duty— 1⁄2 or 1 oz per gallon of water. Leaves a luster to mobile homes, homes, R.V.’s, etc.  Concrete and Mortar Mix: Use 1⁄4 oz to 1 gallon of water. Makes cement and mortar spread easier and smoother, and set harder.  Plumbing: Will keep pipes open and clean when used regularly. It emulsifies grease and can eliminate cleaning of grease traps.  Aquariums: Use 1⁄2 teaspoon per quart of water. Clean rocks, coral, entire aquarium with Basic-H solution. Rinse thoroughly.  Phonograph Records: Use same solution as for glass. Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Leaves no residual magnetism.  Diapers: Use 1⁄4 teaspoon of Basic-H and 1⁄2 teaspoon of Basic-G to a pail of water. Eliminates odor in the washroom when diapers must stand. Automobile & Boat Care  Washing: use 1⁄2 tablespoon in 1 gallon of water. Easily removes insects and road grime. Wash a small area at a time. Hose off. Wipe windshield, windows, and chrome after rinsing; the rest of the vehicle dries without spots or streaks. o By adding 1 tablespoon of Super Polish to the above mixtures, the car will also be polished.  White Wall Tires: 1⁄2 teaspoon in 1 quart of water.  Windshield Wiper Solution: 3-5 drops per quart of water. Pour into windshield wash reservoir.  Engines: Use 1⁄4 oz to 1 gallon of water to clean engine. Will not affect paint, gaskets, or insulating material. Best results can be achieved when the engine is hot for fastest drying or ignition system.  Battery Terminals: Use 1⁄4 teaspoon to 1 pint of water. Spray on battery terminals, let soak for 2 minutes and clean with wire brush. Use full strength Basic-H on battery terminals to avoid corrosion or galvanic action.  Automobile Radiator: Use 1⁄2 tablespoon to radiator full of water or anti-freeze. This prevents rust. 3 Camping & Boating  Boat Algae: Use 1⁄2 tablespoon to a gallon of water.  Fish Odors: Use 1⁄2 tablespoon per quart of water. Basic-H cleaning solutions work wonders around boats, docks, and other ―fishy‖ areas.  Insect Repellent: Use full strength. Biting insects will not bite skin where Basic-H has been applied.  Cleaning & Washing: Coat bottoms and sides of pots and pans with Basic-H before placing over campfire. Black soot just slides right off when you wash. Basic-H is all you need to take for dishwashing, bathing, shampooing, & laundry. It even works in cold stream water; and because it’s organic & biodegradable, it won’t harm fish, vegetation or wildlife.  Wash your R.V., Boat & Camper: 1⁄2 tablespoon per gallon of water. Great for awnings too! Personal  Liquid Hand Soap: Mix 1⁄4 Basic-H & 1⁄2 water in pump dispenser by sinks. Will not dry or irritate hands like soaps may.  Protecting Hands: Apply to hands, full strength, for lasting protection as an industrial skin guard. Great as invisible gloves before painting.  Cleaning Hands: Put a couple of drops in palm. Rub thoroughly over both hands and add a little water. Continue with usual washing action. Add a touch more water as needed. Rinse. Removes tobacco stains, onion, and garlic odors. Variation: mix 1⁄2 Basic-H and 1⁄2 water in 4 oz squeeze bottle.  Bathing: Use 1 teaspoon to bathtub of water. Run water full force for suds. Cleans thoroughly; body feels like velvet. Leaves no bathtub ring. Perfect for baby’s bath...less alkaline than baby soap. Also helps relieve itching! Remember to keep away from eyes. Satin Sheen is also especially good for bubbles.  Shaving: Apply full strength to face and add water to make lather.  Painting & Dyeing: Apply full strength to hands and face before painting or dyeing. Paint or dye will wash off easily.  Shoe Cleaner: Use 1 drop on a wet cloth. Will not remove wax. Shine with dry cloth.  Crayon: To remove from walls, use full strength.  Shampoo: Use 1⁄2 teaspoon to 1 cup of water. For dandruff: use 1 part Basic- H, 1 part Herbal Cream, 2 parts water. Also good for treatment of poison ivy & poison oak on the body. Pet Uses DO NOT USE WITH CATS (Because of the way they clean themselves) KEEP OUT OF EYES  Flea Dip & Shampoo: Only 1 step for both! Apply Basic-H full strength to your dog. Remember to keep out of eyes. Low Suds- Great Action! Lather pet up and wait 5-10 minutes. Rinse off.  Regular Shampooing: 1⁄4 tablespoon to gallon of water. Makes coat very shiny & healthy looking!  Flea Prevention: o Use full strength in a spray bottle. Mist dog before letting outside. Will keep fleas off! o Yard Spray to Rid of Fleas: In hose bottle, fill with water, add 1⁄2 teaspoon of Basic-H & 1 cap full of Basic-G. Attach to hose & spray yard every 10 days for 3 applications. Use twice a year thereafter to control. Rinse all plants thoroughly. Other Animal Uses  Shampooing Horses: 1 tablespoon in 5 gallons of water. 4  Fly Spray: 2 oz in 12 oz of water. Use in 16 oz spray bottle. Great for cows too! For all your 4-H animals. Shiny coats!  Clean Up: Basic-H is used to wash water buckets and tack off. 1⁄2 tablespoon to 1 gallon of water. Miscellaneous  Air Filters: Use 1⁄2 teaspoon to quart of warm water. Air filters are cleaned with excellent results—leaving them free of dirt, oil, and chemical residue. Gardening & Plant Care  Rose Bushes: 1⁄2 teaspoon per gallon of water. Spraying rose bushes will protect them from red spider mites & other infestations & diseases.  House Plants: 2 drops in a gallon of water. Water plants & they will flourish. Use to wipe down leaves – cleans & shines!  Green Lawns: 1 tablespoon in ―Ortho- type‖ sprayer applicator full of water. Makes 2 gallons of Basic-H solution.  Recycling Tip: Dispose of Basic-H cleaning solutions on your shrubs or lawn for a greener & healthier yard. Pesticide  Indoor Fleas: Mix 1⁄2 teaspoon in 16 oz water & spray floors, baseboards, etc. If badly infested, place only light at night above pan of soapy water. Continue each night for 30 days. (Caution: Light & Water)  Indoor Roaches: Sprinkle Boric Acid out of child & pet reach places.  Ants Inside or Out: Sprinkle Boric Acid or instant grits around ant area.
