American Martial Arts Center (AMAC) would like to welcome you as a student of Tae Kwon Do. We hope that it will not be long before you feel as though you are a part of our Martial Arts family.
Many new students have a feeling of inadequacy with regards to movements to be performed or learning a new language. This feeling is common and is short lived. Mistakes are ok; that is how we learn and why we have instructors to guide us on our new journey. The basics are a beginner’s foundation which one builds upon. It is important for a beginner to remember that Tae Kwon Do is a learning process; it takes time to develop martial art skills and requires patience along with hard work. With time, you will achieve new skills and advance in Tae Kwon Do. Remember, everyone in martial arts starts out as a beginner!
During your Tae Kwon Do training, the AMAC staff and I will help you work on developing a strong foundation upon which you can build. AMAC strives to teach a pure version of Tae Kwon Do that will allow you to experience the variety of benefits that Tae Kwon Do can offer. Those benefits include physical fitness, self defense, self-confidence, discipline and having fun being part of a Tae Kwon Do family.
We believe learning a martial art is not just teaching a skill, but teaching responsibility, judgment, character, and life skills. Whatever your goal or reason may be for taking Tae Kwon Do, my staff and I are looking forward to personally assisting you in achieving your goals. I wish you the best in your Tae Kwon Do
training and hope that it will be a lifetime adventure for you.
